New Technology Prevent Mobile & Laptop Batteries Exploding

A new technology to find ways to prevent lithium-ion battery for non-flammable or cause laptops and mobile phones exploded.

The technology is called Stoba was developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), a national research organizations from Taiwan. Stoba expected soon in the first quarter of 2010.

Alex Pang who led the research of this discovery explains, when the lithium-ion batteries short-circuit discovered, they will quickly heated to 932 degrees Fahrenheit temperature. In these circumstances, the battery potential fire and exploded.

While Stoba, is between positive and negative sides of the battery. When the battery temperature reaches 266 degrees Fahrenheit, Stoba directly transformed from a porous material into the film material so that the lethal reaction overheating.
